Counsellor & Research Psychologist ยท Founder, Zoetact Health
Sithembile spent her career sitting with young people in their hardest moments. One thing kept showing up: the right support, at the right time, changes everything. Zoetact Health exists because that support wasn't always there, and Sithembile decided to build it.

Therapy isn't a sign something is wrong. It's a sign someone is paying attention.
Sithembile's therapy career began at a rehabilitation centre, working with schools in the east of Johannesburg. She was fresh out of university, and nothing quite prepares you for sitting with someone at their lowest. But that's where she learned something that's shaped everything since: young people don't need to be fixed. They need to feel like someone's genuinely with them.
She carried that conviction into her psychology internship at the Department of Education in Ekurhuleni. Everywhere she went, she kept seeing the same thing: young people with enormous potential, not getting the consistent, specialised support they needed to reach it. In 2022, she took the leap and started Zoetact Health. Her goal? Give tweens and teens the kind of support that actually lasts. Not a quick fix, but real tools they carry with them long after the sessions end. Today, as she completes her Master's research in psychology, her reach is growing beyond the therapy room. She's building the evidence base and the frameworks to support the next generation of young South Africans.
Sithembile holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Johannesburg and a BA Honours in Psychology from UNISA. She's a Registered Counsellor with the Council for Counsellors of South Africa, and is currently completing her Master's in Research Psychology at UNISA as a 2026 candidate.
