Therapy isn't a sign that something is broken. It's a sign that someone cares enough to help a young person build tools before life gets harder.β Sithembile Mere, Founder of Zoetact Health
Most families begin with a Sprint Programme β a structured, outcome-focused journey that gives your child the right foundation before deeper work begins.
Your child leaves Groundwork knowing how to name what they're feeling, understand why it's happening, and use strategies that work for them β not just in sessions, but in the moments that matter most. For parents, it's the difference between watching your child struggle and watching them begin to handle it.
Groundwork builds the foundation that makes everything that follows more effective. Every new client starts here.
Payable across 3 instalments Β· Investment carries forward into the next phase.
After Groundwork, your child moves into a focused Sprint built around their specific challenge. Because the foundation is already in place, this phase moves faster, goes deeper, and produces results that last. Each programme ends with a personalised Strategy Card your child keeps.
Choose from Exam Brain, Confidence Lab, New Chapter β or we'll build a custom programme around your child's specific needs.
Recommended by your child's clinician after the Groundwork programme.
Not sure if your child needs a full programme yet? A Check-In Session is a low-pressure starting point β a space to get a clearer picture of what your child is navigating and what kind of support would actually help. It gives you something concrete to work with before making any bigger decisions.
What happens between your child's sessions matters as much as the sessions themselves. Parent Coaching equips caregivers with practical tools, language, and strategies to support their child's growth at home β so the work done in sessions isn't undone the moment they walk out the door.
This is a dedicated coaching session for you β not a progress update, but an investment in your own capacity to show up well for your child.
For families who prefer in-person sessions, we are located at two therapy centres in Johannesburg.
Every client begins with Groundwork β the foundational programme that builds emotional vocabulary, self-awareness, and the therapeutic relationship. What comes next is shaped by what Groundwork surfaces. Each programme ends with a personalised Strategy Card your child keeps β and the investment made in each phase carries forward into the next.
We know you'll have questions before taking this step for your child. Here are the ones we hear most often β answered honestly.
Yes. Research consistently shows that online therapy is as effective as in-person sessions for most young people β and for many teens, the privacy of home actually makes it easier to open up.
This is very common and completely understandable. We handle this with patience and without pressure. Often, the first session is simply about getting comfortable β no agenda, no expectations.
Your child's sessions are confidential β this is essential for building trust. We offer Parent Orientation Calls separately, and involve the support network where appropriate and agreed.
If you've noticed changes in mood, behaviour, sleep, school performance, or social withdrawal β it's worth a conversation. Our free 15-minute consultation is a no-pressure way to explore whether support is right for your child right now.
We don't claim directly from your medical aid β but after each completed session, we'll provide you with a detailed invoice that you can submit to your scheme yourself. Most major South African medical aids will reimburse you, depending on your plan's mental health benefits.
Yes β our practice is grounded in a Christian ethos, and our values of compassion, dignity, purpose, and hope are shaped by that foundation. We warmly welcome families of all backgrounds. If you are comfortable with a faith-informed approach, we would love to support your child.
Yes. We have in-person sessions available at two therapy centres in Johannesburg β Rivonia (Sandton) and Edenview (Edenvale). In-person sessions include a room hire contribution of R100 per session, which covers the dedicated therapy space. The session itself is identical in length, quality, and approach to our online offering.
Simply send us a WhatsApp message or fill in the contact form below. We'll schedule a free 15-minute consultation at a time that works for your family β no waitlist, no commitment.
Zoetact Health is anchored in a Christian ethos. Our values, our approach, and the way we show up for every young person are shaped by that foundation β compassion, dignity, purpose, and hope.
Every young person is met with genuine care, patience, and warmth β exactly as they are.
We believe in the inherent worth of each child, and create a space where they feel safe to be themselves.
Every teen and tween has a purpose. Therapy helps them find the tools to walk into it.
No matter what a young person is going through, we hold hope on their behalf β until they can hold it themselves.
Counsellor & Psychologist Β· Founder, Zoetact Health
I have spent my career working with youth, and I kept seeing the same thing: teens and tweens with extraordinary potential, going without the consistent, specialised support they needed to reach it.
Zoetact Health was born from that gap β and from a deep conviction that South Africa's young people deserve better.
We equip young people with life strategies β practical, personal, and lasting tools that carry them far beyond the therapy session, and into the leaders they are capable of becoming.
The first conversation is free, easy, and completely without pressure. Pick a time that works for your family and we'll take it from there.
